Martin Rapaport’s presentation will identify the primary forces disrupting the diamond trade and what to do about them. Topics will include the impact of the internet on consumer demand and electronic trading networks. The challenge of Synthetics. 雷朋博先生是雷朋博集團(The Rapaport Group)的創辦人/主席。他於1978年所創立的雷朋博鑽石報告(Rapaport Diamond Report)，是全球鑽石交易行情的基準。集團旗下的RapNet交易網在業界影響力深遠，擁有來自八十多國的七千餘會員，列出總值超過62億美元價值的鑽石庫存開放搜尋買賣。雷朋博先生更是位開拓先鋒，致力於推廣鑽石產業公平競爭的發展和建立符合現代的道德規範。他對整個鑽石產業鏈的了解，少有人能出其左右，無疑是現今業界極具影響力的風雲人物。 Mr. Martin Rapaport is founder/CEO of the Rapaport Group, whose creation of Rapaport Diamond Report in 1978 has since become the basis of the global diamond pricing. The group's flagship online trading network RapNet is the largest of its kind, consists of more than seven thousand members from over eighty countries listing their diamond inventories well worth USD 6.2 billions in total. Martin Rapaport is also a pioneer of the industry who over the past decades has been pushing for fair trade practices and voicing ethic concerns that would change and shape the jewelry business to fit the modern world. He has unrivaled understanding of the diamond trade, from top to bottom, and is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in jewelry industry.
